We here at House Of Ink Tattoo provide a friendly and family atmosphere. We not only live in the land of aloha but we live by it. Our staff is here to assist you with the design of your tattoo and answer any questions you might have.
Each of our artists are completely dedicated to the art of tattooing. And it shows! Most of the tattoos done here are fully custom. However we also have designs to choose from. Some of our artist have compiled there own set of artwork and designs as well.
All of our artists are licensed by the State of Hawaii, which requires a written medical exam on sterilization and related skin disorders, as well as regular physicals and blood tests. Our staff also attends a once a year seminar in preventing disease transmission in tattooing which is held by "The Alliance of Professional Tattooist". Your safety is our #1 priority!
House of Ink adheres to strict sterilization practices. We are regularly inspected by the State of Hawaii. All needles are single use, and our autoclaves are tested on a daily basis.
Our shop minimum is $60.00 plus tax. All clients recieve full aftercare instructions during their visit.
If you would like to make an appointment to get tattooed, please either come by the shop in person or call ahead to set up a time to come in for a consultation. A cash deposit is required when you do set up the appointment. What To Do
*** MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ***
Although we do take walk-ins, most work is done by appointment. Our schedule fills up several days in advance, so please plan accordingly.
We do not charge extra for custom designs, but we do require a non-refundable deposit when the appointment is made. Deposits will apply towards the cost of your tattoo.
You will want to get your tattoo when you are finished with all sun and water activities as there is no direct sunlight, ocean or chlorinated water on a new tattoo!
*** BRING PHOTO ID ***
In the state of Hawaii, to be tattooed or pierced you must be 18 years of age with proper ID. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present to sign for you with proper ID and legal documents to show proof.
Tattooing or piercing a minor is at the artist's discretion. If you forget your I.D. you can forget your tattoo.
*** NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL ***
No smoking, drugs or alcohol are allowed in our studio. It is illegal for us to tattoo anyone under the influence and we will refuse service if you are.
*** EAT WELL & BE RESTED ***
It's no fun to do anything on an empty stomach or a hangover.
*** DON'T OVERDO IT IN THE SUN ***
Prior to your appointment, use sun block on the area to be tattooed. If you are sunburned (even just a little) we will not tattoo you. When skin is irritated or peeling it is impossible to do a perfect tattoo.
